fowk: folk
I wish a red nose on a face and a touch of paint could turn the folks who tyrannize and oppress into harmless clowns.
But this is not the case sadly.
But yet you yourself can be a good soul and alleviate the suffering by giving.

Refugees.
Refugees are on the increase and come not only from war but from famine, oppression, and our environmental disasters that are steadily increasing.
It is a problem we need to come to terms with no matter our feelings on race, creed or colour. If you can donate something please do. Remember poverty is relative and the future is not as stable as we are in the habit of imagining, even for us, in the West.
Red Nose Day.
Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day is a charity I support in the UK and some of its money is going to help refugees.
Please donate to them or to where you can. No matter how small. A lot of small things add up. And what is small to us is big to another.

Steal Like an Artist.
I can’t claim credit for these ideas I used in the image. The makeup on the face was by a Russian artist fighting for LGBTQ rights in Russia. The the skull overlay is by a Lithuanian artist and apparently was hung as a banner opposite the Russian embassy – I’ve seen the image but don’t know if it was a fact. Sadly I don’t have the artist’s names.
Washing one’s hands in blood is an old image but an artist under the name of WeFail makes caricatures that really skewer the worst of our politicians as prints for sale. Not for those of a delicate nature. WeFail’s art works can be viewed here.
