What is an RSS reader?
An RSS reader works a wee bit like your email inbox. When you subscribe to any RSS feed your RSS reader will keep up to date with what’s been added ready for whenever you choose to look.
As you read each item, your RSS reader will marks it as read.
For reading in a web browser install a free or paid RSS extension. If you’d rather read your RSS feeds through an app on your device then install a free or paid RSS feed reader app to fit your operating system.
What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It’s a straightforward content distribution method that’s been around for decades now and can help you stay up-to-date with your favourite web stuff while saving you the chore of having to remember where and when to trawl the web. All in one place, on your device, up to date and available to read in your own time.
It also helps you dodge the mountain of dross, ads and tracking stuff that web sites seem obliged to throw at you nowadays. I’m old and can remember simpler digital times. RSS lets you recapture some of that.
