  1. I also grew up in the east end, Shettleston, so not far from you, from 1958 to 1970. We nearly always said cludgie….but my Gran was from Uddingsto.

  2. I’m sorry, but I grew in Glasgow
    ( Tollcross to be precise ) from 1946 to 1960 and I never heard the expression Cludgie used to describe a toilet. Lavvy yes, but never cludgie
