Man in kilt waiting holding a poop bag as his dog on a lead strains to do its business. He is shouting at his daughter who looks grim and is sullenly holding a loudhailer and a placard saying there is no planet B.
The Scottish Word:

Threap.

Stop threapin at me aw the time, there’s only so much ah can dae for the planet aw at once.

So no anither teet frae ye til I’m done or yer no comin on oor dog walk again.

Mind, ah DO tak yer point that no fightin Fascism spells certain doom fur the environment.

Translate:

threap: protest obstinately.

Stop protesting at me all the time, there’s only so much I can do for the planet all at once.

So not another squeak from you until I’m finished or you are not coming on our dog walk again.

In consideration though, I DO take your point that not fighting Fascism spells certain doom for the environment.

The Extinction Rebellion.

logo of extinction rebellion consisting of a circle with an interior geometric glyph of two triangles joined point to point like an hourglass this symbolises the planet being on a countdown. The Extinction Rebellion, named after the Holocene extinction (an ongoing extinction event caused by human activities), is an environmental activist group that started in the United Kingdom in 2018.

Formed by a collective of 100 academics, it’s intended to pressure governments—by way of thoughtful non violent civil disobedience to take action against biodiversity loss and climate and ecological collapse.

Strange how things work. Extinction Rebellion protesters got as much as 6 years jail time for blocking a road and yet Farmers did the same with their tractors to protest against a tax change and no-one was even arrested.
